Yujia Liu | 刘雨甲

I am a postdoctoral research associate at Kansas State University, working with Drs. Tuan D. Nguyen and J. Cameron Anglum on a project examining the STEM teacher workforce. I completed my Ph.D. training in Education Policy in Social Context at the University of California, Irvine, advised by Dr. Emily Penner. I hold an M.Ed. in International Education Policy and Management from Vanderbilt University and a BA in Sociology from Peking University.

I am interested in understanding social and educational inequality in schools and homes. My research primarily focuses on policies and programs that support teacher recruitment, development, instruction, and retention and their relationship to student learning environments.
